My mate saw Majok out last night and had a chat to him. My mate asked if he would come back next season but he said he has signed with the Kings. Not sure if it's for the rest of the season or for next year. Anybody else heard anything?
Interesting given he is not necessarily finished as a Cat just yet.

I posed the question to him on FB earlier today and he was like, "I don't know where people get this information from" and that he wasn't going to Sydney, he was getting a contract in Europe.
Who knows! I guess time will tell.

Wouldn't surprise me if Majok has secretly committed to Sydney (or anyone else in the NBL) next season.
With his reported lackadaisical attitude, I don't think he'd last too long in Europe.
That said, would be an asset to our league if he stayed on.

Are you serious, no wonder Draper doesn't respond, sounds like a cyber stalker.

MAJOK STILL HOPING TO CRACK BIG TIME
THE most exciting newcomer to Australian basketball will wrap up his six-week guest appearance in the NBL tonight when Sudan-born Ater Majok and the Perth Wildcats face the Kings at Sydney Entertainment Centre.
He will be a free agent after this game, concluding his NBL career the way it began - against the Kings in his adopted hometown with his two-year-old toddler brother Majok Majok in the stands to watch him play for the first time.
His little brother was born while Majok, 23, was away in the US and then Europe.
"When I came home and he saw me he burst into tears. He didn't know who I was," Majok said, more disappointed than bemused.
Majok is still a work in progress but he hasn't given up hope that his towering 211cm frame and intimidating 226cm wingspan will attract the attention of the NBA talent scouts.
However, if he's going to reach his goal it's going to be via Europe because he's not prepared to wait around for another NBL offer. "The NBL has been a pretty good experience. An eye-opener. I've enjoyed my time in Perth," Majok said yesterday.
"It's disappointing that my minutes ran down as the season moved along, though there's nothing I can do about that.
"I missed a practice, OK. I got a slap on the wrist and we moved on. It's a learning experience.
"I'd like to stay home in Sydney and see the family, but teams got to do what they got to do and, as an individual, I've got to do what I've got to do.
"I'm not about to sit here three weeks wondering if they're going to sign me. I'll move on, probably back to Europe again."
Majok has played eight games averaging less than 14 minutes per game along with 7.5 ppg from 51.2 per cent shooting from the field while he leads the league in blocked shots at two per game ahead of Adelaide's Adam Ballinger and Sydney's Julian Khazzouh (both 1.9 bpg).
Going head-to-head with Khazzouh, who has established himself as the premier big man in the NBL this season, will be a good test for Majok.

For all his potential, Majok appears to have very little going on upstairs.

I posted the article so people could read it and discuss, and the link as my source of where I got the article.
Aren't we generally a bit lazy? This gives us an opportunity to pass it on. Thanks.

Because they like skating close to the edge!
[One point infraction for]Cutting-and-pasting articles from other sites. This gets us into serious copyright hot water. Don’t do it- provide a link to the article so others can read it. If you MUST cut-and-paste, please only include the parts of the article you want to talk about, and directly address them.

Another front office mishandling by the Kings. Surely they had the same opportunity to strike once Wagstaff was reactivated and Ater was deactivated?...
Blaze office too smart on this occasion, it would appear.

Not sure why the Kings are getting knocked for the Majok Blaze signing. The Blaze are still playing for a finals berth, lost their current best player for 6 weeks. The Kings are not going to play finals but there's nothing stopping them preparing an offer to him for next season, is there? All this Kings criticism is lost on me when their office must be doing something right with the attendance figures they've had all season.
