No, I went to last years floods. This years have become too commercialised.
Don't forget to buy a Homicide t-shirt. 50% of profits go to him.

I thought about going to Melbourne for the weekend and dropping in on the charity game, but I decided against it. Seems I'll be paying for the trip anyway.

It's being tweeted that this is going to stream over the internets... does anyone know if this is legit or not?
Would love to catch some of the oldies playing :)

Ray Borner ?? ... I wonder if being on the same team as Chris Anstry will mean he wont try and head butt him this time.

The game should be a real crack up if it's anything like our local AFL charity games with the olds here in SA.
Whenever th Crows play the Power, it's dubbed "the Showdown", when they have the annual charity game with all the old legions, it's "the Slowdown". Always played in good spirit & a lotta fun.
If tomorrow's charity NBL game goes well, they should make it an annual fixture too.
DICKO's on track, all the old jerseys & paraphenalia would make for a great day out, catching up with past 'ball buddies. I'd be in it in a heart beat.
Have a gooden DICKO. :D

Was a very entertaining afternoon....DICKO I thought that was you! I should have come and said hi. Word is they raised over $10,000. Great effort. Also good to see CJ Massingale and Lester Strong in there too....maybe NBL teams will stop overlooking sharp shooter Massingale

Yes...you should have.
Fun afternoon...even though Drewy appeared to have the shits a bit and a couple of guys thought they were playing for NBL spots (Adonis....it's over mate, give it up :-) ).
Had a few drinks with some of the boys afterwards and there's already talk of a "Legends tour" to tour and play a pre-game to some NBL games around the league.

I'd rock up early to see one.

If anyone deserves and NBL spot it is CJ Massingale. He is probably just 2 inches short of an NBL spot.
Apart from that he consistantly destroys the NBL guys in the SEABL and trouble free. Surprised Marty Clarke didt get him as he has destroyed the AIS a lot in the SEABL.

That was enjoyable to watch. The players played with varying levels of intensity. Anstey and Adonis Jordan were the main two who looked like they were really trying to score some buckets throughout the game and that they did- Anstey scored 36 to win MVP and Jordan scored heaps too, including a stack of 3's.
The whole white team stepped it up a gear in the last quarter, which is why they came from 13 points down to score the win.

I was surprised. Anstey was dead serious......you should have heard him later on. He was quite fired up.
I love this picture though.....It's like Wile E Coyote chasing the road runner.

If Anstey was still playing for the Tigers, and Ray Hunt was reffing that game, he would have pinged the Maroon player (Jordan?) for an offensive foul.
Watched it online through Rivus. Loved it. Good to see Gaze-Copeland-Timmons-Bradtke on the floor one more time. If only Wazza joined them!
Good work to all involved. I would love to see something like this become at least a semi regular event.
Well there is a cyclone on the way.

Oh don't worry, I saw him afterwards. He had blood all over his singlet!
And yeah, this would be an awesome semi regular event!
