Is there any truth to the rumor, that one of the Bynum's that plays in the NBA, is former Sydney Kings NBL player Ken McClarey's son?
Andrew Bynum from the LA Lakers?
OR
William Bynum from Detroit Pistons?
And, is it his real son, or step son (hence the different last names)?

its def Trevor Ariza,
In 1996, Ariza's youngest brother, Tajh Ariza, died after falling out of a window in Venezuela (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venezuela) from the 30th floor. His first son is named after his late brother.[15] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trevor_Ariza#cite_note-14)
Father Kenny McClary played at Florida University (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida_University) in the mid to late 1980s, and professionally with the Sydney Kings (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sydney_Kings) in Australia. [16] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trevor_Ariza#cite_note-15)
Ariza is of Dominican (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominican_Republic) and Turks & Caicos Islands (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turks_%26_Caicos_Islands) descent through his grandfather Osvaldo Ariza, who is a native of Puerto Plata (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Felipe_de_Puerto_Plata) and his Mother Lolita Ariza who is a native of Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos.[17] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trevor_Ariza#cite_note-16) Ariza is in the process of changing his sports citizenship so that he can play for the Dominican Republic national basketball team (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominican_Republic_national_basketball_team).[18] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trevor_Ariza#cite_note-17) However, he later accepted an invitation to the Team USA training camp. It is currently unclear which team he plans to play for.
It is Wikipedia,though....they've been known to be wrong.

And he is only his stepson, not biologically related.

It's definitely Ariza.
ESPN ran a short doco on him at halftime of a Lakers game. The story was, Ariza and his younger brother, both were about 5 or 6 years old, well the younger brother fell of a very high hotel room window and died.
At the time, The Chief McClary was playing in a league (Puerto Rico) and was not told of the sad news until the game ended, I believe.

I saw the story when it was featured on ESPN's Outside the Lines. Oh, and it happened in Venezuela.
Edit: Can't find a transcript for it on the OTL website. Probably caught it on SportsCenter. :P
