These guys are probably getting sick of looking at each other :)
Anyway, let's go for the whole thing and see if we can sweep the Tigers. Three down, one to go - and loving it.

Ill be there, my first Taipans game since Dec 2007 when the played the Slingers at home.
Considering I was at there first ever game in 1999 (and about 200+ after that), this could be my last ever time seeing the team play live!

Tom Greer 14pts already.

It's a worry when T Greer is top scoring and the Snakes are getting spanked.

Well it was fitting that the last Taipans game that I ever see (likely the last) was a complete thrashing as so many have been over the years.
Being a Cowboys and Taipans fan winning isn't something that you get to enjoy very regularly. Whats that Snakes winning % in 11 seasons 30%?? I know they are now 1 win 17 losses against the Tigers at home.
Even more apt it was one of those games where it was all over 3mins into the first quarter, from there the Tigers never looked headed.
There was a brief period at the end of the 3rd were the Snakes had a chance to get it down to 9 points, but two straight Kerry Williams turnovers and it was back out to 19 within a minute or so.
If this was your first game of NBL you would think the Tigers were top of the ladder and the Snakes bottom. Id like to use the two games in 3 days excuse, but both teams had it so its a hard to make an arguement for why they were so bad.
For the Snakes, Mills tried hard all night other than that everyone else was pretty poor. I haven't watched them play all year, but gee Kerry Williams looked way out of his depth at the PG spot (loose carries, missed shots when wide open, poor options in offense, zero presence in defence)
For the Tiges, Greer was on fire from outside, but most impressive for me was Johnson, he is tall but also got a big of toughness about him, he easily out banged the Taipans bigs for boards and inside points all night. Other than that standout it was an all round team effort from everyone concerned.
Anstey only played a cameo (he was vomiting in the dressing room pre-game according to Stacker) and Hodge is playing with a broken hand (again Stacker), regardless he was mismatched with Williams all night (why did Fearne not change this after about 6 seconds??) and took advantage of it for points or outlet passes to Tiges posted on the 3 point line.
Im haven't being keeping up with the NBL much this year, but in Garbage time No. 41 from the Tigers a way undersized guy named Westover subbed in, is this SOJ II??
A mix up meant there was no live stream. But to be honest, given that most people watching would have been Taipans fans, that was a good thing. Unfortunately, Cairns didnt turn up in the first quarter and by the time they showed something (not that much but something) the game was beyond them.
It's a shame, because a win would have had them within 1 game of the top4, but at least the result keeps the Tigers (barely) alive and keeps basketball in Melbourne interesting at least for another week.

According to this AGE article it does.

They need a 7-1 finish, 8-2 at worst. Three games vs Perth in there, but two at the Cage.

I have agree with you in regards to Kerry , at times it appears he is being force fed minutes ala Joyce . Unfortunately the coach and the local crowd seem to love him. He is a good kid who does have a lot of potential but appears to be very nervous out on the court and is constantly looking to the sidelines for instructions.
