19 points and 11 boards is good. 12 points and 2 boards, not so much. Consistent? No, not consistent. Two extremes I'd say. And it seems this week, a win will get you over the line, as opposed to last week when a loser won it.

Next they will be giving it to the "inanimate carbon rod" just so everyone gets one and no one is left out.....They still wouldn't give it to Jeff Dowdell though :)

get over the Jeff hate, he never hurt you guys over there, and the Crocs obviously liked him enough

Debateable, but I catch your point.

Without looking at the stats, I'd say Phil Jones was definitely Cairns best against us.
Dusty was alright, he was a contributor but no stand out.
So after seeing half of his week's game, I would've hoped he would've absolutely dominated the other game to get this award. But 19 and 11? Doesn't sound like it.
Still doesn't sound like there was a bevy of superstar performances. A bit like last week, really. It's been a while since anyone's play a game or two that really makes them deserving of the award.

I have been a member for a few years and haven't missed a home game yet. I've seen him plenty and feel I can justifiably make these comments about Jeff.
Besides that he seems like a nice guy, he's just easy to pick on so lighten up.
Yeah interesting decision. Dusty was definitely MVP of the NZ game, but looks like he only had a minor impact on the Tigers game.
What about Harvs? I thought he turned the game for the Blaze in the third quarter.
Redhage had 24 in a losing effort, but apparently that is only good enough if your surname is Hodge.

I agree LV, it doesn't look to be enough for a POTW. I thought Jones was worthy of it this week as was Harvey but if they gave it Hodge last week at 9-21 over Matty's 22 pts 6 rbs haul in Adelaide then who cares who gets the honours??

So far its just Perth, Wollongong & Gold Coast who have not had a player named in POTW awards. Funny seeing as Perth & Wollongong sit on top of the ladder... must be because we spread the scoring load.
