Coaching Qualifications

Hi All,

What are the best qualifications to obtain? Im currently thinking about becoming a qualified coach after doing it in my spare time for about 4 or 5 seasons now, and am starting to realise maybe I should have done Sports Coaching as my course after E-Commerce is starting to bore me to tears.

First of all, where are the best places to get qualifications, and whats it like for jobs out there? I know the glamour stories like Lawrence Frank who started as the janitor at his local college team before making his way to property steward and eventually NBA head coach by his early 30's, but what is the reality for coaching in Victoria?

Contact Basketball Victoria or your local association and find out when a Level 1 coaches course will be held.

Progress through the Basketball specific courses as they are taken by qualified people and you learn different aspects of the game that a generic sports coaching course cant offer.

what is better than a level 2.. i believe that the level 3 is now extinct.

is there anything more can a coach get other than a level 2?
