Any News about where Rychart and Ere could go?
It would suck to see them move somewhere else because of this.. :(

This is interesting:
Found in letters to Courier Mail about Bullets demise.
Family involved in the sport at the top level have told me the following was discussed in the Aus. Sports Commision hearings:
1) An A-League style "one town-one team" league is on it's way, with Melbourne the only exception (we provide nearly 50% of the players in the league anyway, so it's only fair.)
2) Eventual phasing out of Singapore & NZ, with Hobart, Darwin & Canberra to be included in due time.
3) Abolition of imports (except for those still under contract, or on their way to naturalisation)
4) Positions 1-8 on roster as normal, 8-10 will be returning college players, 11-12 "Young Australian" players.
5) Each club to play each other twice, Final 6, 3 Game series until semi-finals, then five games
6) Season moves to b/w June & December/January, to allow players to visit schools so as to build crowds. This also allows elite players like Ingles, Anstey, Worthington, CJ to play over in Europe to earn a living.
7) ALL CAPITAL CITIES TO BE COVERED - welcome back Brisbane!

Any serious analysis of that post shows leads you to believe that this is just a wish list of things that some fan made up rather than any serious plan by a commision or otherwise.
Cmon, they discussed the intricacies of a finals and playoff system!! Pffft... And even more doubtful is the roster make up, players 8 to 10 will be college players blah blah.
My all time favourite, which is right up there with backboard tapping as a measure of a NBL players worth, is that the season will be shifted "to allow players to visit schools".
