If you'd like to participate in FNBL 2007/08, please reply to this thread by Sunday 26 August at the latest! We will then allocate players into the leagues based on previous years' performance. I will underline (in the quote above) the players who have re-nominated.

If you have not played FNBL before (and you'd like to), then reply to the thread and we'll then allocate you, however you do start at the bottom of the pile (Division 4 or 5 is most likely)...you then work your way up.

If players in leagues above do not renominate, then players move "up" in the order that they are listed above.

Ummm... :lol: ...at this point Madcat and jesuc have said that they're not re-upping -> this means that Hellcat and Stanley would move up in the world...now whether CoT renews his membership of Div 1 or not, I don't know - maybe the "Board" have to look at whether you take his spot if he doesn't come back...

As we all know, I was well and truly in favour of CoT not being gifted a shady promotion way back when, but if MacTavish finished below hellcat and Stanley last season then in the spirit of truly meritorious division separation, I think those two better deserve the spots in the top league. The whole point is to have the best 10 teams in Div 1, not the most morally worthy :wink:

Div 1 is probably a bit more serious/competitive for me. If other people want the promotion, especially as it doesn't bother me either way, then they can take my spot.

Im not in your league - so it makes no difference to me,

BUT - the one thing that screws up competitions like this is people who give up after a few weeks... and to be honest, when you have someone who has pretty much admitted that he will do it again, and is only rejoining for "the novelty" - then I think this is where the new panel needs to step in.

My preliminary opinion would be that we only let LV in if he's needed to make up numbers for a "full" league ... otherwise, he's admitted that he's just going to let his co-participants down, so it's fairer and more beneficial to all to give somebody else who is going to have a genuine crack at it a go.

No offence to anyone in particular, but there were people that got bored and appeared to have given up during last season. People became uncontactable etc (for apparently no other reason than that their team was doing poorly) and it really detracts from the competition.

You're either in it til the finish, or follow it on the sidelines!!

Week to week? Not that much. I was a bit of a nazi with it last year (I kept my own points tally etc & spent countless hours investigating & proposing trades - as anyone in league 3B can confrim). I wasted a WHOLE lot of work time doing that last season, and most likely won't be in a position to do so again.

The draft is the most intense/time consuming period. You'll probably need to be pretty switched on & active while that's going on.

But once you've drated, you could probably spend maybe 15 mins/week to organise your team (juggle games in each position by seeing who is playing how many games each week). So it's not particularly time-consuming to be an active member.

We have 8 returnees in League 1, and 2 pikers (Grenok & Madcat)...

Hence, Stanley and kingant definitely move back into League 1.

Hellcat has stated that she wishes to remain in League 2.

George McFly and Southern Joe move up into League 2.
Hulk Hogan and Beljulian move up into League 3.

We have one piker in League 4 (kecu) and six newbies. So we can run with a 13-member League 4....orrrrrrr we need 6-7 more newbies (and we can go with a League 5). Current listing is below

So I emailed Derek and he said to try my login. If I had known this then I would have done it ages ago. I'm super keen to join in for this season. I know it has closed but can you make an exception for me as I was doing as I was directed, which was to wait for the email to say my account has been activated.
